In the late 1980’s Lehr Auto Electric expanded its product line with Emergency Vehicle Equipment. The industry needed a supplier that could offer reliable customer service, speedy delivery and competitive prices. Lehr stepped up to become one of Northern California’s largest supplier of emergency equipment for police cars and many other public safety vehicles. Lehr warehouses thousands of products from well known suppliers such as Whelen, Code 3, Federal Signal, Sound-Off, Gamber Johnson, Troy, Havis-Shields, Panasonic, Setina, ProGard, Unitrol, Able II, Kussmaul, Unity, Ecco and many more. Our parts department carries many traditional auto electric lines such as Cole Hersee, Pollack, Hella, K-4 switches, Deka, Little Fuse, Datcon, Stewart Warner and many other hard to find auto electric components you might need.

     Lehr remains as one of the few remaining shops to offer Starter and Alternator repair and rebuilding. Rebuilding starters and alternators is often a more economic solution for many of the larger fleet vehicles and the hard to find replacement units. Expedite service is available on request. We have the ability to manufacture almost any cable, emergency brake style or push-pull you might need.
